English
Reading - Comprehension and decoding
Spelling - Including Phonics, letter strings, spelling rules
Writing - Composition and effect, structure, vocabulary, grammar and punctuation
Maths
Both mental and written...the emphasis, coverage and content will differ according to age and academic ability;
Number; place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions
Shape and Space
Measurement
Data Handling
Algebra
11+ - English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning (VR) and Non-Verbal Reasoning (NVR).
I teach to the objectives assessed through the the two most-common exam boards used for the 11+. These are: CEM and GL Assessment.
Firstly, I assess the student's current ability and identify their specific needs. I will then produce a 6 session plan identifying areas of focus. I can then share this with you at the beginning of their first session.
This will be a 30 minute introductory assessment session, which is free of charge.
